Cortney has been an occupational therapist for 15 years, specializing in pediatrics. She earned
her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Fresno and went on to
receive her Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California.
While at USC, she was selected to participate in a competitive grant program with a specialized
focus on pediatrics, further deepening her expertise in child development and family-centered
care.
Throughout her career, she has practiced in a variety of settings including school-based services,
outpatient clinics, and pediatric hospital environments. These diverse experiences have allowed
her to support children with a wide range of developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and
sensory processing needs.
She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with families and believes that
collaboration and trust are essential to helping children reach their fullest potential. She loves
harnessing her inner child to connect with the kids she works with, creating playful, engaging
therapy sessions that promote growth while making children feel seen, understood, and
successful.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, dancing, and camping with family and friends. As a mother
of three young children, she stays active and inspired—both professionally and personally—by
the joy, energy, and constant learning that comes with parenting.
