Abby Sedlacek PPD
Postpartum Doula
Hello, my name is Abby. I am a dedicated mother to a wonderful son and three beloved dogs. Professionally, I work for two naturopathic doctors and in addition serve as a full-spectrum doula. Originally from the Midwest, I grew up in a large, close-knit family—my mother was one of nine siblings, and my father one of six. My childhood was filled with strong familial bonds, where cousins were my closest friends, and the homes of my aunts and uncles felt like second homes to me. It truly felt like we had our own little village.
It wasn’t until I became a mother myself, living hundreds of miles away from my family, that I fully appreciated the profound impact of having a supportive community and extended family during my upbringing. This realization inspired me to help others who may lack that same network of support. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are transformative and beautiful experiences, but they can also be incredibly challenging, especially without a strong support system nearby.
This is why I became a doula—to bridge that gap and provide nurturing care, resources, and community to mothers and families in need. My mission is to help create and foster supportive, compassionate communities for those who may feel isolated or underserved during these pivotal moments in life
