Lani Rapoport was born and raised in Michigan, exploring the Great Lakes and the shores of the upper peninsula in the summers. Her journey began at the University of Michigan where she gained her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, emphasizing childhood development and anthropology. She later obtained a license in massage therapy from Atlanta School of Massage. Lastly, she earned her Master’s of Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 2012.
She is dedicated to ensuring a holistic approach to occupational therapy. She is committed to building knowledge through continuing education, including earning certificates in Sensory Processing and Integration, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, and the initial mentorship program towards earning a certificate for SOS Approach to Feeding. Lani has brought her expertise to various pediatric settings, including pediatric outpatient serving ages 3-21, early intervention serving ages 0-3, and through the school district. Most recently, she has had the pleasure of building her skills working across the lifespan with adults and older adults in a Skilled Nursing Home. Lani is dedicated to collaborating with her kiddos and their families, teachers, and caregivers to foster growth and learning. She is an expert in her field, but she considers families to be the experts on their children. Beyond her therapy practice, Lani enjoys spending time with her dogs and partner, rock climbing, reading, and lounging in the hammock when the weather allows.
