OTA Position 

Pediatric Village Home Care is a small family centered company, focusing on quality of care. We support families of infants through preschool years. We provide in home, daycare, and preschool visits. We are unique in that we not only provide traditional therapy services, occupational and physical therapy, but also provide postpartum doula services. Postpartum doula services allow us to support the entire family unit. Our focus is on families of babies that were hospitalized or have a medical/developmental diagnosis. We are able to identify early developmental concerns with feeding, motor and sensory processing. Pediatric Village have a close partnership with a unique pediatric mental health support in town. We are passionate about creating a village for our community families as well as our work family. We have an opening for a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: at least 1-2 years pediatric experience

  • OTA Associate's Degree

  • Oregon Occupational Therapy Assistant License

  • Excellent time-management and communication skills

  • Strong ethical standards and professional boundaries

  • Comfort providing services in a variety of home, school and community environments.

  • If more pediatric experience is needed, OTA will participate in a paid mentorship program in all areas of early development, facilitation of movement and infant/toddler feeding therapy.

  • Passion for learning and commitment to lifelong learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and carrying out effective and individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide thorough caregiver education, consultation, and support.

  • Communicate and collaborate with the client's interdisciplinary team, including regularly scheduled supervision meetings with the supervising OTR/L and the village team.

  • Complete daily notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries independently.

  • Assist in gathering evaluation, progress note, or re-evaluation information.

  • This position covers all Central Oregon with most visits in Bend.

  • Reliable transportation with active insurance is required.

Occupational Therapist

Postpartum doula services allow us to support the entire family unit. Our focus is on families of babies that were hospitalized or have a medical/developmental diagnosis. We are able to identify early developmental concerns with feeding, motor and sensory processing. Pediatric Village has a close partnership with a unique pediatric mental health support in town. Lactation support and infant craniosacaral services will be joining us in the fall. We are passionate about creating a village for our community families as well as our work family. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist.

This position covers all Central Oregon with most visits in Bend. Reliable transportation is required. This position is a mix of home, preschool, and outpatient visits. The applicant may have the opportunity to lead sensorimotor groups at a few preschools in Bend. Pediatric experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory, will provide mentorship in pediatrics.

This position provides the opportunity for you to work closely with families for occupational therapy intervention including helping them connect with local resources, implementing changes in routines and home programs, and supporting the family in any way necessary – promoting the village mentality of collaboratively addressing the needs of the family and the client. The parents needs and mental health are often overlooked, pediatric village strives to ensure parents have all the tools and resources needed to help their family thrive.

You will have the flexibility of scheduling your own clients based on the needs of your personal schedule. The applicant must enjoy working on a team but also be independent and able to problem solve on the spot. Clear, direct communication and documentation with team members and families is mandatory. We are looking for someone who wants to grow their knowledge and skills as a therapist. This position will eventually require supervision of an occupational therapy assistant.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine client's needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve client's functional abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate clients and their families on strategies for maximizing independence and improving quality of life
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in speech therapy and case management is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in occupational therapy
